Business Development Representative – Construction Industry Focus

We’re looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team with a specialized focus on the construction vertical. This is a dynamic, results-driven role where you’ll help grow our commercial business by focusing on the needs of construction companies in the area.

We’re now expanding our footprint in the construction industry, providing top-tier junk removal for construction debris, equipment hauling, and site clean-up for construction projects of all sizes.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for developing new business and maintaining strong relationships with construction-related clients. You'll work closely with the Commercial Sales Manager to help achieve ambitious revenue targets, specifically within the construction vertical. This is a great opportunity to take your sales skills to the next level and drive significant growth in a fast-paced, high-demand sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business in the construction sector by targeting contractors, project managers, and construction companies for debris and waste removal services.

  • Own the sales cycle for construction-focused accounts, including prospecting, client meetings, estimates, and contract negotiation.

  • Leverage inbound leads and proactively reach out to new potential customers via cold calls, emails, and networking in the construction space.

  • Understand and address the unique needs of the construction industry, such as on-site debris removal, equipment hauling, and post-project cleanups.

  • Collaborate with the National Accounts team to secure larger construction accounts and expand our reach in the market.

  • Keep track of sales activities and performance in our CRM (Salesforce), ensuring accurate reporting and client information.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market intelligence to better serve our construction clients.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least one (1) year of B2B sales experience, ideally in a construction-related or industrial sector.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and drive new business within the construction industry.

  • Strong skills in solution-based selling, able to present and sell junk removal services tailored to the needs of construction businesses.

  • A history of achieving sales targets and a drive to continuously exceed expectations.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with construction industry professionals.

  • Self-motivated and persistent, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in G Suite and Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
